Our special steel company
Sideria is a company based in Turin (north-west Italy), founded in 1980 and operating in the steel market.
Sideria’s core business is represented by the trade of long products (bars and billets) in special steel intended for hot forging and mechanical processing. The variety of products is mainly focused on those in hot rolled or forged versions.
In 2015, Sideria expanded its spaces by building and setting up a warehouse capable of satisfying a constantly growing demand for scheduled deliveries.
The focus of Sideria
Sideria mainly deals with the trade of special construction steels in rolled or forged version, with a covered dimensional range between 40 and 400 mm.
The main qualities are:
- Case-hardening steels such as 16MnCr5, 20MnCr5, 18NiCrMo5, 17NiCrMo6-4, 19CrNi5, 16NiCR4, 20CrNi4, 18CrNiMo7-6, 20NiCrMo2, 35CrMn5;
- Quench and tempering steels such as C45, 40CrMo4, 42CrMo4, 39NiCrMo3.
These products comply with the international standards ISO 683, EN 10083, EN 10084 and ASTM 182.
The materials
The steels are vacuum degassed and produced from ingot or continuous casting with high reduction ratios.
Sideria’s special construction steels are subject to careful checks and, like all materials in the warehouse, are 100% certified for internal, surface and anti-mixing defects.
Furthermore, at customer’s request, the steel can be supplied with various treatments and finishing such as, for example, annealing, quench and tempering, normalization, peeling, grinding.
